About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Massage Therapist (Masseur) to join our spa and salon team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in different massage techniques, committed to delivering a relaxing and therapeutic experience, and able to maintain the highest professional and ethical standards. Beyond treatments, this role also requires someone who can educate clients, recommend suitable wellness services, and work independently without constant supervision.
What You’ll Do
- Welcome clients, listen carefully to their needs, and recommend appropriate massage treatments.
- Perform a wide range of massage therapies, including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Aromatherapy, Hot Stone, Sports Massage, and other spa body treatments.
- Create a calming, safe, and hygienic environment for clients before, during, and after sessions.
- Recommend relaxation techniques, stretches, and aftercare to maximise the benefits of treatments.
- Suggest and upsell treatment packages, add-on services, and spa wellness products.
- Maintain accurate client records, track preferences, and encourage repeat visits.
- Ensure all equipment, treatment rooms, and materials are clean, sanitised, and well-prepared.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest massage techniques, wellness trends, and spa therapies.
- Work independently, take initiative, and complete tasks without requiring micromanagement.
- Follow all company rules, policies, and procedures while displaying the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and respect with clients, colleagues, and management.
What We’re Looking For
- Certification or diploma in Massage Therapy or a related field.
- 1–3 years’ experience as a Massage Therapist in a spa, salon, wellness centre, or hotel.
- Proficiency in multiple massage techniques (relaxation, therapeutic, and remedial).
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and bodywork practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to upsell services and wellness products.
- Physically fit, with stamina and proper techniques for safe, effective treatments.
- Professional appearance, warm personality, and passion for client well-being.
- Discipline, integrity, and the ability to work independently while being a supportive team member.
- Meet monthly set sales target.
