Job Summary:
Mshel Construction Limited is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Procurement Officer to join our team. The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing and coordinating the company's procurement activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, supplies, and services. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent negotiation skills, vendor management abilities, and a strong understanding of procurement best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement procurement strategies to support the company's operations and goals.
· Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive prices and terms for materials and services.
· Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, including RFQs, purchase orders, and supplier contracts.
· Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and monitor supplier performance.
· Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine procurement needs and specifications.
· Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
· Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to improve procurement efficiency.
· Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and best practices in procurement.
Qualifications and Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Quantity survey, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
· Proven experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar role within the construction industry.
· Strong knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing techniques, and contract management.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
· Certification in procurement or supply chain management is a plus.
